There are companies that are so large that they can afford their own academy or even their own private university. Likewise, the Church as an employer in both cities and rural areas is concerned with providing its employees from the regional church right through to employees in the community with further education and advanced training through the "Office for Religious Services".
One of the core tasks of the AKD is the provision of advanced training and consultancy to voluntary and professional employees of the Protestant Church. As an institution of the Berlin Regional Church EKBO, the Office organizes schooling, seminars, and workshops, as well as training and advanced training courses. Furthermore, it is the point of contact for all matters relating to further education in pedagogical community service.
In the course of the development of the new corporate design for the Protestant Church Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesiche Oberlausitz, the AKD's corporate identity was also updated.
