In actual fact, the Protestant News Service, as an association, forms part of the Joint Association of Protestant Media Communication in terms of its structure and is therefore a part of the EKD, although it doesn't broadcast news regarding solely church-related issues. The film and media contributions of the news agency are held in high esteem by the publishing companies.
The Protestant News Service is the oldest German news agency. The epd is sponsored by the Protestant Church and supplies texts and images to almost all major German publishing and newspaper companies. With its regional services in Bavaria, Hessen, Lower Saxony Bremen, North, East, Rheinland Palatinate/Saarland, South West and West, epd is a news agency with a very strong regional presence.
epd commissioned us with updating the communication of the news service in order to more strongly communicate its range of services, particularly its digital services.
