The "pair" have been accompanying the artistic works of the sculptor Wieland Schmiedel for many years now. Sometimes as king and queen, sometimes only parallel to one another, sometimes exposed.

The catalogue "Ein exponiertes Paar" was created as part of the identically-named special exhibition at St. Matthew's Church at the Kulurforum, Berlin. It contains a broad display of works by the sculptor Wieland Schmiedel from installations in a public space right through to works from collections and galleries.
